This is the best snapper-phone we’ve seen so far – perfect for capturing those boozy moments. When you add the fact that it’s also an unusually stylish 3Ger and a Shuffle-trouncing MP3 player, you have a great all-round gadget.

The K800i is an amazing handset. On the flip side I did have some issues with the K800i, the most severe would have to be the user interface lag. The handset was also a bit bigger than other high-end camera phones on market. For people looking at upgrading to the latest and greatest I would definitely recommend them to try out the K800i. You won’t be disappointed!

Sony Ericsson has created a camera phone that uses Sony’s CyberShot branding perfectly, creating great pictures and then backing up those great pictures with features such as 3G connectivity and good solid design.

It might be a tad bulky (105×47 x 22mm) compared to other regular phones available, however for us we would be happy to have this as our main phone.

The K800i is Sony Ericsson’s finest handset to date as far as photography is concerned. It won’t replace a real digital camera for serious photography, but it does a lot better than many other handsets with built-in cameras. And the rest of the features aren’t bad, either.

Sony Ericsson seems to have thought quite carefully about what people want from a cameraphone and done its best to oblige both in terms of hardware controls and software extras. It is the imaging extras as much as the raw megapixels that should justify the purchase of this handset. Even without those this is a neat, tidy and very impressive 3G handset.

Sure you can see the compression, and there’s visible fringing in high-contrast shots, but the overall quality is pretty reasonable for what they are. In fact, they remind me of 3MP digital compacts of four or five years ago.

But only its camera manages to perform at a high level, as at the moment it is one of the best ones featured in a mobile phone thanks to its Xenon flash. Unfortunately, this is somehow overshadowed by the low-quality camcoder, the cheap headphones in the package and the fact that it is impossible to watch high-quality video with the handset.
