There are other cameras that will beat the A720 in particular situations, like low-light shots, but this Canon can handle a wider variety of shooting conditions, overall, than other cameras in its class. If you would like a digital camera with manual controls, extra lens length, image stabilisation, a viewfinder and a fairly low price then it could be the Canon Powershot A720 IS. There is a lot built into the camera for the money and the picture quality it produces is top notch. Recommended.

It’s a great small lightweight camera, the results are actually quite good, don’t except wonders from it (or from any camera), but with all the setting you ever need you’ll be able to take some very good pictures with it. I’m a little concened about the blown out highlights, you probably end up using P mode with some altered settings, but concidering the price you get an excellent photographic tool.
