It’s amazing how something so thin can still be so reassuringly sturdy. Motorola L7 is a mobile marvel sheared to a sophisticated 11.5 mm thickness. Yet its large 176×220 TFT display with 262K colors is a feast for the eyes.

Functionality of the SLVR is greater than the RAZR, in fact it almost matches the performance of the more expensive V3i.

Overall, if you dont care for EDGE and a 1.3-megapixel camera, this is an excellent phone to consider before opting for your next cell phone. However, for the price, it’s super and Motorola has a winner on its hands for sure. We recommend you get the L7 SLVR for its sexy slim and super chic looks coupled with some of the most useful features on a cell phone.

With few real problems at all, the Motorola SLVR L7 is a very solid mobile phone. I used it personally for a few weeks and it performed very well.

At the same time Motorola SLVR L7 settles a new standard for the middle class, which integrates both functionality and design. Judging the first price of the SLVR, we can surely say a new bestseller by Motorola appears on the market.

While I wasn’t blown away with the L7’s feature set, I still enjoyed using it. I find the form factor to be great, thin enough to easily fit in your pocket but not so thin you can’t use it. The L7 isn’t perfect. Transferring songs takes forever, the earpiece isn’t loud enough and the microphone is in the worst place possible.

The SLVR L7 is a good start of the SLVR series, but even the fact that it is a top model, it has some unpleasant drawbacks.

I enjoyed my time with the SLVR L7 for the most part. At first I though the thin profile of the handset wouldn’t have any huge effect on me – however when in practice you definitely notice it. The problems and issues I had with the handset were an annoyance though.

There’s a lot to like about Motorola’s Slvr L7, the company’s latest cell-phone/iPod hybrid. It’s pretty, sleek, and fairly easy to use for making and receiving calls; and its integration of iPod features is a great extra. Unfortunately, it doesn’t excel as a music listening device.

The Motorola SLVR L7 Red is a decidedly average handset, though, and as such it may not have the broadest possible appeal. What I’d really like to see is Motorola take its affiliation with (RED) further, and put more of its handsets into the scheme.

Overall, the SLVR extends Motorola’s winning streak of sleek designs while adding everybody’s favorite jukebox software. As long as you don’t care about over-the-air music downloads or video streaming, this phone offers an attractive balance between style and substance.

Motorola L7 is not a phone for everybody. I guess that those of you who pick up a phone by its design will probable be the only ones to appreciate the values of this phone right.

Good Gear Guide

The SLVR L7 is an admirable effort by Motorola to provide the same wow factor of the RAZR in a candybar format. A better quality camera and a long awaited update to the user interface and Motorola could well be onto something very special here.

The SLVR may be an excellent weekend phone for when music listening trumps staying in touch, and there’s room in your sweat suit for only one portable gadget.

Motorola’s Slvr L7 puts a prettier face on the iTunes phone, but its low-resolution camera, its sluggish music-player performance, and the limitations on the iTunes usability are big distractions.

In the case here, the L7 should get the greater criticism – where it was almost identical to the first-generation RAZR V3 in terms of its offering, a product that was released quite some time ago. No matter how many of those petty “improvements” that were added, the L7 still felt like “a straightened-out version of the V3”.

I really want to like the SLVR L7 RED and I really want you to like it too, because the cause it supports could do with as much help as it can get. So I am not going to bemoan its average features too much while summing up. Instead I’m going to ask Motorola to extend its support for the RED case to other handsets in its range.

Once again Motorola have produced a fashion phone for fashion victims, if you were taken in by the ultra slim and light V3 Razr then you are likely to love the ultra slimmer SLVR L7 and it weights just 85 grams. But you need to remember how once you started to use your slim style phone everyday and when you needed to charge if before 5pm! To be fair things have improved but not enough for us to be able to recommend the Moto SLVR no matter how sexy it is.
