The Samsung SC-X210L Sports Camcorder is a portable handheld camcorder that captures fast and furious action. The CCD captures 680,000 pixels worth of sharp, vivid details. You can get a close-up shot of those great moments with the 10x optical & 100x digital zoom—then either save your stills to an SD or MMC card, or record video directly to the 1GB of storage in the camcorder.

Consumer Guide ProductsLike the SC-X105L before it, the Samsung SC-X210L ultra-compact sports camcorder is aimed squarely at sports enthusiasts and gadget lovers. The main appeal of the SC-X210L is its external lens that can be clipped to a jacket or strapped to a helmet while skateboarding, snowboarding or mountain biking, capturing your first-person view of the action. The external lens won’t get in the way, and since it is waterproof, you don’t have to worry about crashing face-first into the snow. In fact, if anything, that would probably make for some great action footage. The only area where this tiny digital camcorder is likely to disappoint is in its video quality. |

Camcorderinfo.comSamsung is back again with new additions to the Sports Cam line. The SC-X210L replaces last year’s X105, with a number of improvements, including a twice the internal memory (now 1GB), a better design for their external lens, and no more cradle (all ports have been relocated right onto the body). As we said last year, this is a camcorder for a very specific market of rugged sporty types, but even people in those markets might be disappointed by the sorry, sorry performance. |

EasyCamcorders.comIf you’ve ever grinded a kinked rail or busted a sweet bar-spin over a tabletop jump, you know what it means to be extreme. Wouldn’t it be even more extreme to capture that frontside 360 on a camcorder? Samsung has the answer. The SC-X210L sports cam ($599 MSRP) has a weatherproof housing, fits snugly into a pocket, and comes equipped with a helmet cam. |
